At night, the mangrove forests come alive in a natural light show of fireflies glowing in their spectacular mating display. Our guests are driven to a charming family run raft, pulled by a small boat through the mangrove forests at sunset. Travelling past small fishing huts and oyster farms, guests enjoy a feast of Thai food as the sun sets and the fireflies begin their transformation of the forest. After the meal, our guests are free to walk around the spacious raft, and marvel at the natural spectacle.

Laem Mae Phim is a beautiful area for families, but for those of you looking for something to do in the evening, you have to travel a bit.

Why not take the hour trip to the nearby party island of Koh Samet?

The main beach stretch of the island offers a huge range of nightlife including beach BBQ’s, a range of shows from live music to fire shows and even various games and contests for free drinks. We drive 20 minutes by Song Taew to Ban Phe where we board a party boat at the pier and take the half hour trip to Samet. Once you have finished enjoying the bars, restaurants and beach front night-clubs that close at 2 am you will be picked up from the island by speedboat to take you back to Ban Phe where the SongTaew will be waiting to drop you off back at your hotel so that you may recover comfortably. The return time of the trip is flexible and depends on the needs of the group. There is also an option to stay on Samet for however many nights in a choice of excellent hotels and get a boat back and taxi back, whenever required.
